A visionary, successful entrepreneur and art lover all in one, Basel Dalloul, founder of the DAF Beirut Beirut has had a passion for art since he was very young, inspired by his parents, themselves keen art lovers.

His first purchased artwork is a Warhol print from the Factory in NYC but his deep love for the contemporary arts is manifested specifically though Middle Eastern (Arab) Art.

 

The Art Foundation is a Beirut-based visual arts institution dedicated to making modern and contemporary Arab art accessible to local and international audiences through archiving, exhibitions, education, publications, public programs and research.

 

It has over 4000 pieces, the largest collection of its kind in private hands.
The collection includes paintings, photography, sculpture, video and mixed media art.
