When Sel & Poivre was founded more than 30 years ago, Lebanon had no design scene at all. This was a huge inspiration for co-founder Myriam Jreidini to re-introduce classical designers (such as Alvar and Aino Aalto) to the city, as well as contemporary emerging designers with a unique expression such as Philippe Starck at the time or Marcel Wanders today.
Being aware of what is going on in the world due to the shifts from an elite to a more democratic field is something that keeps Myriam motivated and impelled to keep on attracting and enlightening customers with a large variety of high quality products regardless of the challenges that comes her way.
From the avant-garde to modern classics, Sel & Poivre objects combine form with function. Every item is a little work of art, each has its own to tell. Together, they make Sel & Poivre a unique buying experience that surprises and delights.
